Hello Friends,
I am new to this forum. I am getting a transfer to Bangalore and my work location will be Global Village on Mysore road. I am looking for a good residential area to stay for rent(upto 10k). I dont mind up to 10 - 15 km. One of my friend who had worked in Bangalore sugested Basavanagudi or Rajarajeshwari nagar. I am also looking for a good CBSE school for my son who is in 2nd std. Could someone help me with information of good CBSE schools around this area? This would be of great help. Thanks...

10- 15 KM (i.e. would make 30 KM per day to and fro)in Bangalore is a very bad idea! Generally its best to stay as close to your office as possible! Some days just 7km can take up-to 90 minutes or more!

Hi Sums,
Rajarajeshwari nagar is ideal for your work at Global Village. I stay in RR nagar and its a very peaceful residential area. Its got some restaurants, beauty saloons and Star baazar supermarket is just around the corner in Gopalan arcade (which has a cinema too). The school you refer to is about 5km away so its not too bad. Saying that you may have to pass the metro construction work which holds up traffic everyday. Good luck with your search, assuming you are still looking!
