Sonicare products - where to buy?

I blew my US spec'd Sonicare by plugging it into a 220v outlet. Does anyone know where I can buy another in Bangalore?

I've seen Braun products in the medical shops.

Hello! My husband and I did exactly the same thing with our Sonicare (though we had even plugged it into a voltage converter). It lasted all of 2 or 3 months. Oh how I miss my super-toothbrush!

Anyway, I have never seen a replacement and I also live in Bangalore and have been living here for over a year. Even if I did find a replacement I would probably not take the chance on wasting the money since we blew out our last one so quickly, even with the voltage converter. If you do get another I would recommend plugging it into a UPS to protect it from the voltage fluctuations that are pretty typical here. What my husband and I did as an alternative is purchase cheap battery operated toothbrushes (can be found at many of the large grocery stores on MG Road or at Health and Glow for around Rs 400). They are a far cry from the Sonicare, but I hated to waste another $100 for 2-3 months of teeth-sparkling bliss.

I'm sure many shops stock these, I saw them available at Sandeep Medicals, Shoolay Circle next to Girias, near Richmond Road junction.

I have a braun for travel and a wall mounting heavy duty Kent for daily use. The latter is available in Bangalore, google for Kent dental jet.

Hope this helps.

I went to the Sandeep Medicals reccomended and they had no idea what a Sonicare was. The only thing they had was an Oral-B battery-powered toothbrush. Oh well, it was better than nothing. I will definitely be buying another when I get back to the states. I feel my teeth are so unclean without my Sonicare...

Anyone wants an unused replacement head, let me know. I have no use for it now, as I will most likely get the latest model next.
