moving to Bangalore - seeking girly new BFF

Hey all,

Yes, another expat wife moving to Bangalore in the next few months! Would be great to chat and get to know a few others in my situation before I move. I'll be missing my lovely girl friends here in the UK. I'm a transplanted Canadian, 31, work for an American MNC (I won't be working in India, but am hoping to study Tamil and yoga, and do volunteer work). I'm into travel, swimming, scuba diving, photography, (admiring other people's work - I cut people's heads off in my own pictures), sari shopping, current affairs, reading,vegetarian cooking, laughter, going out for meals, seeing and trying new things. I'm not into whingeing expats who hate their current country, endless chats about diets and calories, needy codependents, or people who only talk about how amazing their children are.

Hi scubajojo!
I'm relocating to Bangalore from Chennai next week. I'm new to the city and don't know anyone or anything. My husband ( Indian)
is in IT, so his company sent him to work on project to Bangalore
.I'm Russian by nationality,32, was living in Czech Republic and 2 and a half years ago came to India.
I'm planning to get certified as ISSA Fitness Trainer as well as Reebok aerobics instructor and work in this field afterwards.
I love socializing with friends, I love music, dance, travel, psychology. Hope we can meet up when I'm arriving to Bangalore ( which is on 22nd of March)

Hi there,

I've just arrived in Bangalore too and looking for some friends! I'm a 23-yr-old female solo traveller from NZ - only here for six weeks for an exchange to the Deccan Herald newspaper but it would be great to be able to share the experience with other travellers/expats.

Let me know if you're interested, there seem to be a few recent arrivals here in B'lore so maybe we can plan some kind of meet up?
