I might live in Bangalore for 2 months, and I will have a small dog with me. What's the best way to find a short-term pet friendly apartment? The old go-to craigslist doesn't help much in India. I'm not too picky about areas, but I'm a single female and don't want to feel unsafe. Any advice about how/where to start looking?

A Serviced Apartment might be a good (and may be only) option for that short a period. OR
A PG (Paying Guest) with a pet friendly host.

Thanks! How would I go about finding a service apartment or PG? Sorry if it seems obvious, but my standard methods of finding housing do not seem to apply in India.

FOr PG: Local newspaper classifieds, contacts at your work place.
For Service apartments I hope someone local can help, as i have no idea.

try sulekha dot com or admag dot org for local classifieds.

Try searching oakwood.com -- their search form includes a checkbox for 'pet friendly' although it seems you have to do a search before it actually appears.

magicbricks.com also includes serviced apartments - you can search for them.

Given your unusual pet requirement, maybe it would be worth contacting a local dog owners club or something to see if they have any suggestions?

This is off-topic, but what's with this "sulekha dot com" business? Is there any reason not to just say sulekha.com, and to link to it for that matter?

The only reason I've seen for saying things like "me AT hotmail DOT com" is to avoid spambots, and this is only relevant for email addresses, not websites.
