So far, it has been steady going. I've located local supermarkets where I can purchase my necessities. I also found a Reliance Wellness place that sells the optimum nutrition Whey product that they have in the United States, although it's about 20% more expensive here. I am living in Diamond District, in Domlur.

I like that things are laid back. I like not feeling weird when I go out for a walk; the place I lived in the United States was a suburban area and most people drove around in cars.

I am not eating out yet, for fear of food poisoning, but within a couple weeks I hope to be spending more time outdoors, and more time meeting people.

It's a decent place; in the afternoons its nice to go outside and hang out in the center of the building; lots of families can be found out and playing. The interior of the flats isn't necessarily remarkable. The location is great, I suppose. I've enjoyed exploring airport road and 100 ft rd.

If you like biriyani, try Hyderabad House on Airport road. They make good Dum Biriyani. Home Delivery would be a better option because some reviews say that it is always crowded and the ambience none too great. I have personally never been there and always had the biriyani at my friend's house.

Drop down to Indijoes opp to DD on airport road. You would love their sizzlers & american food (supposedly). Its buffet lunch with the usual stuff - salads, chinese, pizzas, etc etc.. a mash up of all.. Give it a try.

Hey Miked!! Curious as to how you're getting along there, it's been a bit over a month now, any updates? How's it going in B'lore?

Pretty sure that's only if I stay longer than 6 months, otherwise it isn't mandatory.

If you are here on work, its helpful to get yourself registered. Usually, you are not bothered by anyone. But if you face some situation (hope not) where you need to interact with the officials, this point may pop up.

Some time ago, one of my colleague lost his belongings (laptop, cameras etc when his place was burgled) and he had to lodge a complaint. Then he was asked why had he not registered with the police commissioner's office. Our office admin intervened and had got the query sorted out.
