So I want to register my own Private Company (SEO related) in Bangalore as a US foreigner.
I've read a lot of the information here on IM and people suggest getting a good Chartered Accountant or Company Secretary who not only has experience in incorporating companies, but also in incorporating companies for foreigners (which is apparently a whole different process). Does anyone know of a good CA or CS who has experience setting up businesses for foreigners in Bangalore? Price isn't as much of a concern as finding someone who knows what they are doing and can help me get this done without waiting for many months on end. Help is hugely appreciated and thanks in advance! |

you can even use a program management service
Chartered Accountants the problem is the good ones come with a price tag and are hard to find. The bad ones may be easy to find but may be slow on execution part, the less risky or lazy type. Some of them even are astrologers in the part time ( I know this cause i had one)
They're some really good Charted Accountants and know the way around but are hard to find. I'd recommend some consultant. Even though we are a Indian Firm, we sometimes need the fixer kind, the fox wise types. We had to use some similar type of service from a firm...pm me and I'll send you his mail ID. The firm i think has even chartered accountants I hope you have a pleasant time making money in India. |

Great, thanks for the info. I think I need to post more before I can PM you.
It seems like a consultant would definitely be the way to go. From everything I've been reading even with the right CA this will still be a very long, confusing and difficult process, but I'm ready to get started . |

Some registrations and licenses might take a few months, varies in different industries. The ones that are cumbersome are the ones with strict labor laws and the old economy types.....It took me couple of weeks to set up everything but i dint require anything apart from company formation and Income Tax registration.
I can probably mail you the number of these guys who i know... |

I wanted to register a propretiary firm with 0-1 employees. I was told that a shops & establishments registration is sufficient to start with. I was quoted 5k to get it done.
Out of curiosity, I spoke to another CA, he said its a simple procedure, you can go n do it yourself. Would cost you a couple of hunderd rupees, some proof & a no-objection from the location where your business is based. Just wanted to highlight how the CAs operate ![]()

yea that's quite possible...depends on what you want to start and number of employees especially..
Some cases you need a lawyer more than a chartered accountant so.. |
