Finding CHEAP accomodation in Bangalore
Hi,
I have been living in Bangalore for about a month and I need advice on finding a long term place to stay. I've seen some apt posts here, but they all look like they're recommending those posh developments in or near Koramangala. I'm looking for PG accommodation or a roommate situation near Vasanth Nagar, where I work. Preferably in the range of 3-6000. Anyone have guest house suggestions? Possibly know of a friend who needs a charming Canadian roommate? Are there decent websites or craigslist-equivalanet classifieds where I can find house sharing posts? Any help would be appreciated, thanks! |

3K - 6K should fetch you a nice place in bangalore nvijaya.
vasanthnagar is a tad expensive. try rtnagar [ around the main road not getting into sultanpalya ] - its close by - on the other side of the underbridege... past jaymahal. nandidurg road is another option. frazertown another option - places on coles road / stephens road get a broker - and extend your area... tell him 4k is the maximum you can pay. thataway - you'll eventually find a place for 5k. if you say 6k - he'll show you places for 7k and above ![]() but vasathnagar itself has a quite a few pg accomodations available - since mt carmel college is nearby. however - some of them pg places have very strict rules... there are 'time constraints' - when is the latest you can come in, there are guest rules - no boys and/or no guests can stay overnight etc please clarify your needs right at the beginning so as not to get into unnecessary complications later on. :brishti |

For long term, look off Lavelle Road at Acacia Service Suites. They are in the same lane as the Reva showroom. Very nice, new, modern flats, good/central location, and decent rates, too---I think no more than Rs. 6500 for a 2BR flat (obviously less than that for a 1BR).
Includes daily breakfast & maid service as well. Last edited by Piper : Sep 30th, 2008 at 15:29. Reason: update |
