great_gramo, where did you end up joining? I need to join one as well. I will probably visit Golds and Chisel today.

We belong to Golds and have been really happy with them so far (since Dec.). Their staff is helpful, gym is clean, and they seem to be doing upgrades, etc. quite regularly.

I visited Chisel and it was a clean gym with a ton of machines. They even modified a free weight bench to act like a Smith machine. I wish they kept it in original form. It seems so hard to find a gym with the classic free wieght machines - a flat bench, an incline, a military press and a squat rack. Anyway, I might end up joining this gym since its close to my apt and just modify my workout.

I ended up joining Chisel in Koramangala. I was dissapointed they did not have the basic free weight setups, but I notice most of India doesn't have the classic barbells and iron weights. I also didnt like the setup of the showers - the shower stalls aren't lighted and everyone has to change in the general area, which can get quite crowded.

There is a small gym on Sanjaynagar called Ultimate Expressions (or maybe its Authentic Expressions). It is just past the junction to 60 Ft. Road though on the opposite side. It is directly next to a very large photo shop (PhotoStop or PhotoCity maybe) on the first floor. They have signs out in front advertising the place though it is easy to miss. I use this gym so let me know if you need any more info.
