Coke and related products (Fanta -- a great mix for Feni) were easily available in the early 70s; it was after that time that they were kicked out of the country -- I believe because they would not release their secret formula. But yes, as you've all noticed, Coke is now very welcome in India -- and I was really happy to get an occasional Diet Coke there on my last visit.

I prefer Diet Pepsi, but will take the coke when I need a break from nimbu pani!

Now then, people.

You all know that our very own Paris Hilton said our Indian elephants get very, very drunk, don't you?

Presumably they were hitting the (yuk)Coke here. You know, the ones made with the secret ingredient - arrack or palm toddy.

Now Then, People. Now Then.

Before the inevitable reactions to the intelligent Ms. Paris kick in: let me say that she never, ever mentioned elephants getting drunk or otherwise. I hereby swear that I saw her saying the aforementioned fact on the Ellen show.

Ok people.
