If there's anywhere in the world that doesn't sell Coke, I'd consider moving there!

That Photograph is from a complex known as Diamond District on the Airport road. Yes there are lots of complexes with pools in Bangalore. Rentals should range around 15 - 25 K .

Yes they have regular apartments as well. Google for Diamond District Bangalore rent and you will find enough choices.
Re: Area It would depend on where your place of Work/Study is. That way you dont spend too much travelling.

EDIT: yes Diamond District actually was a regular apartment complex, but there are lots of businesses trying to rent them out furnished, at crazy prices.
I hoping to find a semi-furnished 2bhk there at around 20K.
Look at these pics, this place looks insaane http://www.masterplanlandscapes.com/diamond.html
we don't have anything like that in Sweden lol.

I won't be working a 9-5, and will be studying from home...so I can live wherever I want to

I think until 1991 (or so) it was not possible to get Coca Cola in India, the government wouldn't allow the company to set up shop. I think Pepsi was allowed and of course there was the local brand: Thumps Up. So it is not a really strange question I'd say. More recently there has been threats to ban Coca Cola (and Pepsi) from teh India market because their drinks where found to be toxic - using contaminated water for it. Also there were protests, particularly in Kerala if I remember correctly, againt the Coca Cola Plants that used a lot of drinking water causing villagers to go without it.

Google Coca Cola, India and Ban and you'll get the whole story.

You could get coke in the 60's and earlier.

Then they were kicked out, i think in the seventies or late sixties.

Then, like McArthur they returned.

Now waiting again
