Travel Plans - advice please

thanks for all the advice in previous threads, as a rough guide we have decided on visiting:

Namakkal (where we're doing a placement in a hospital for a week or so)
Madumalai (thanks for the suggestion!)
Mysore
Bangalore
Mumbai?
Aurungabad
Sanchi
Jabalpur
Calcutta?
Varanasi
Gwalior
Delhi (where we fly back from)

Does that seem feasible for 6 weeks? Nothing is set so any advice would be appreciated. its very flexible so if we fall in love with one place we'll just stay there longer!

Also is there anything that we really shouldn't miss on our first trip?

As Rajered is suggesting, don't miss the Agra (for Agra Fort and Taj Mahal) and Fatehpur Sikri for anything in the world.

You can give a miss to Gwalior and Jabalpur. These places are beautiful, but, not high on the list as Agra and Fatehpur Sikri.

Hi! thanks for the help. i Am here now. Want to go to mysore from Salem. How do I book tickets. can't online. will it be ok to get them there?

Check the foreign tourist quota. Check with the station master in Salem railway station about that. There are 2 trains running on all days leaving at 12:50 and at 01:15 am.
