Please suggest on this weird situation

I have already booked an air ticket from Chicago-USA to Delhi(Turkish airline) but I need to get to Kolkata. Now if I buy another ticket with different airline (domestic; from Delhi to Kolkata) then I was wondering if this "Piece Concept" is applicable ?
Reference webpage: http://www.jetlite.com/in/baggage_allowance.aspx

In short, will I be able to bring 2 (TWO) check in luggage (each less than 23 Kg) and one cabin/hand baggage in my flight from Delhi to Kolkata with any domestic airline ?

Please suggest me if I should book this ticket, otherwise I may end up taking a train which will be a disaster as I have really tight schedule!

I doubt you will be allowed to bring 2 pieces of checked luggage for free.

Here is the relevant paragraph from your URL

Quote:
Piece Concept - Domestic/International
The piece concept is applicable to -

• Passengers traveling to / from USA / Canada and territories .
• Passengers traveling with 2 pieces less than 46kgs , each piece should not weigh more than 23kgs .

Infants without a seat are permitted one piece at 23kgs .
Children and Infants with booked seats will have the same allowance as adults .

To avail the piece concept , it has to be ticketed on the same itinerary . However, this has to be part of the same journey & should involve stopover of only 24hrs and not beyond . The baggage allowance is not extended if the LONGHAUL is on another airline on a separate ticket .

Better book the train ticket...or contact the domestic airline to ask how much it will cost if you want to bring the luggage along anyway (a tidy sum I think, IF they allow it at all). Or -my preferred solution- dump half the luggage.
