| Nationwide Flex Account (For UK Readers) Nationwide are going to start charging for using your Flex Account cards abroad in most countries (India is one of those) Starts with the credit card on May 6th and the debit card from June 1st Nationwide Flex Account Foreign Transactions Sorry to be the bearer of bad news |

| Thanks for posting that news, this account has been widely recommended on here, and I had thought about moving to it. I doubt they'll lose much actual business through this decision, but they will certainly lose a lot of goodwill.. So yah boo sucks to Nationwide the EX traveller's friend!

| Hi, i heard this and wasnt happy so i called in apparently they are just charging the fee which visa charges them which is 1% they usually cover this for you but not now, suppose no other UK banks offer transactions at 1% tho so im sticking with them hope this helps =) Wayneo |

| Just to clarify - if you are in India and using this card at an ATM there will be no 'ATM of another bank' fee, only the 1% fee, no foreign exchange fee either? |

| Aishah Thats correct. But if you use icici a/c here and use there ATM in india there is no charge. |

| Maha Guru Member | If you are a regular traveller. Why not open a local account and transfer money into that account. You will not have bank charges then or ATM fees for withdrawals.
