Mumbai to Taj Mahal

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had any idea of how to organise a trip to the Taj Mahal from Mumbai for two people. I would like to do the trip in as quick a time as possible - that is to say, I don't have one or to days spare for the actual 'travel' part of the trip. So what I'm wondering is roughly how long would I need to set aside for this trip, what sort of costs am I looking at and how would I go about organising the trip - am I better to wait till we get to India and do it or do yo have to book these things well in advance?

You may take the 2137 Punjab Mail which leaves Mumbai at 19:40 & reaches Agra next day at 17:50. Sleep that night in Agra and visit Taj early morning next day.

... Or, take a flight to Delhi I suppose, or to Agra directly if feasible (perhaps to Jaipur?)

As you can see, it isn't next door.

As for Agra itself, I've never been, but the common advice seems to be to, apart from the Taj Mahal, see its fort and the nearby ghost town of Fatehpur Sikri as well, and perhaps another or two more sights there (you'll find tons of info on it on this site already). From what I gather this should be doable in two days, with one night inbetween; and few seem to care much to spend any more time in town, which is said to be pretty hectic with touts and the likes.
