Money Transfer to France

Hello Friends,

I need to transfer money of a bank in Paris,France .

What is the best and cheapest way to do that ?

moneytoindia, remit2india, and so on, are services for transferring money to India. The Thread title indicates that Chits wants to transfer money from India.

I think that you have to get your bank to do it. I've never transferred money in that direction, but others on the site have talked about it.

I gather that it is a fairly form-filling-intensive experience.

I had an issue a few days back, needing to get money from India to the UK.

I asked an Indian friend of mine with a local bank account to do it for me, but the amount of paperwork needed plus the fact that most deposits into indian bank accounts get taxed to a certain extent, just made it basically impossible!

Keep us posted, should you find a simple(r) method!

I agree HDFC , so many paper works
finally used ICICI but we have to give all the related documents and a fee of 1200 INR flat ..
