Money advice.....PLEASE HELP

Hello all!

I'm meeting my girlfriend in India for two weeks on the 2nd may returning 17 may. I've booked a few nights accom in mumbai (already paid for) but we plan to visit agra then spend the rest of the time in goa.

I'm taking £1200 with me. Do you think this will be enough for the two week period?

G

I'm taking £1200 for four months. Works out at pretty much £10 a day and I've been told that it's just about do-able. So £1200 for a couple of weeks should be no problem at all.

ATM's have got to be best ,there ain't no shortage of the machines .
As for travelers cheques they just seem a Little outdated

ATM's are expensive to use tho, 5% ontop of the transaction amount - bit too much really.

I heard the best exchange rates can be obtained by changing cash.

You posted the same question on 2 threads and I answered there, without seeing thes thread here. My answer is at:
India a price guide!!

Perhaps a mod can clean this up? (e.g. either merge or move), otherwise no big deal!

As for the money bit ,i know it's not advisable to chuck money away ,but if you are after a good time it might be better to go for the easiest (it's more fun) and not worry to much about the exchange rate . ATM card is still the easiest and can be the cheapest ,you didn't say which country you are from ,but if it is the UK ,check out a nationwide flex account and see what they can do for you also I think theres a card company in Australia as well that could sort you out .
and as above ,it's going to be hot ,very hot
