Omnivorous,peripatetic gadfly who, I hope, is younger than my years. Have had a secret crush on the subcontinent for as long as I can remember. Finally having a first date sometime later this year, preferably sooner than later.
Interests
Textile history (especially cotton and dyeing - hence India), food, architecture...actually I find just about everything at least a little interesting. Love being in unfamiliar surroundings, because that's when you find out who you really are.
Occupation
Former paralegal, now occasional textile history writer.
Guilty Pleasure
Anything sweet with cardamom and pisatchios. Also pecan pie.
Favorite Movies
The Bad and The Beautiful. Actually, anything with a David Raksin score. Obscure "foreign" films, the more obscure and foreign to me the better.
Favorite Music
Jazz, standards, actually anything played by Bill Evans or sung by Tony Bennett. Or both together. Puccini. Gilbert and Sullivan. Sondheim.
Favorite Television Programs
What is this "television" you speak of? I'm a Netflix junkie, however. Although I have made exceptions for Mad Men and The Sopranos.
