About Me:
Mature professional woman (certified hypnotherapist), single, who has an abiding love for India; was there briefly as a student decades ago and plan to return in 2009 for longer stay (8 weeks to??? May even want to stay much longer); I am learning Hindi (devanagari script too), but it's slow going! need to know all the basics for budget, safety and comfort as single female traveler. I plan to go to Kolkata first, and travel many places from there. Thanks for any help!

Interests:
Doing interviews for local NPR affiliate radio station program called "Through the Eyes of Women"; Studying & reading about India, learning Hindi, watching 'Bollywood' films, listening to Indian music (classical & popular), emailing Indian friends online, planning my travel to India (don't ask -- it must be a past-life thing; all I know is, meri dil bilkul bahut bharati hai!) I also sometimes make jewelry (when the mood strikes), and sell things on eBay.
