Karikor, my SpiceJet flight is reaching Guwahati on 7th Morning at 10 am and I have return train tickets for Kolkata on 11th of July night at 9:00 pm......Is this much time enough to visit all those 3 places in details? Or I need to extend my stay for few more days? Please suggest.

However, thanks for your reply on my thread so far. And I am looking for more suggestion from you in this regard. For your information I would like to say that I have plan to visit Kamakhya Mandir first as soon as I land in Guwahati on 7th Morning.

Well a couple of days more will help. Is your budget tight only for accomodation or for other things as well or are you more free to spend on other things? What is your budget for the 5-7 days?

By the way which of the above options I had given are you ok with?

My budget is tight for accommodation only. And I also would like to avail local transport system rather than hiring luxury car or taxis for sight seeing purpose. Approximately Rs.4,000/-5,000 I would like to spend in this 5 days tour.

It seems that the 1st itinerary you have suggested will be om with me.

Is it 4000-5000/- per person or for both of you? 5000/- person for 5 days is very relaxing. However, 5000/- for both, ie 1000 per day,for both of you will be very tight for 5 days. As 500/- for room, 400/- for sightseeing. which leaves you with just 100/- for fooding and other things for both of you.My suggestion, 8000 for 5 days for both or 11000 for 7 days for both of you will be much better.

My advice:
(For 5 days)
Room: 500/- per day = 2500/-
Sightseeing & transport : 500/- (average per day) = 2500/-
Fooding : 300/- per day = 1500/-
Contingencies : 1500/-
Total = 8000/-

(For 7 days)
Room: 500/- per day = 3500/-
Sightseeing & Transport: 500/- per day = 3500/-
Fooding: 300/- per day = 2100/-
Contingencies: 1900/-
Total : 11000/-

First of all, you don't need to stay in Guwahati as per 5 day trip. Another thing for your budget only Hotel Yalana, is clean and respectable hotel. So you need to book in advance. Other Hotels with same facilitites will cost you minimum 1000/- per room.

By the way are you interested in 5 day tour or 7 days tour?

I am mostly interested in 5 days tour, but I am still thinking that I might have to repent for the place for not staying more 2 days. I just called Yalana Hotel and they said that all Rs.500/- rooms are booked except on 7th July. What to do now?

By the way if you can arrange enough money for 7 day tour, then you can add

1 (one) day trip to Mawsynram
Mawjyngbuin Cave, Khreng Khreng (Cracked rock), Rit Mawksir (view point), Jakrem (Hotwater Spring).

1 (one) day trip to Nartiang
Durga Mandir, Shiv Mandir. Monolith Park, Thadlaskein Lake, Thadlaskein Resort.

But before you change your plans, better contact and enquire first from
Tourist Information Centre, MTDC Ltd., Police Bazar Ph. No: 0364-2226220

Karikor has already explained you enough. Also, try to go to different thread to see the better overview, lest you will re think which all places you can skip or include in your trip.
