Despite the fact that the lady concerned seems not to have revisited the site (unless she did not log in) since three minutes after making her post, one thing nags, so I may as well get it out of my mind:
Quote:
In the last couple weeks I have been told some very frightening stories.
By whom?

And what does the man concerned have to say. It wouldn't be him telling the frightening things, I hope?

that is an entirely different situation compared to a final decree in a custody case outlining visitation rights.

Short answer, do not marry right of the bat. Live together, sufficiently away from his family, till things become more clear. There are too many issues such as your children's future, age difference, his family approval, ... .

We are short of OP input so we are having to weave our own story lines despite the promising beginning..

We already have hints of a family that might stop at nothing on the grounds of family "honour". Now you suggest living together!

Nick ---

OP is stating potential of honor killing or other violence. She did not claim directly receiving these threats from his family, not yet anyway.

The real answer that I refrained from offering is to "walk away." I hedged my answer so that things will work out for the best.

Yes, that was obvious, and taken into account in my previous posts. hence "honour" in quotes as obviously there is nothing honourable about it
