Shirdi Mumbai Pune

Hello

We will like to go to an trip to Shirdi, Pune and Mumbai.. and ofcourse places nearyby to Pune to Shirdi included.

The duration is about 7 days, and we will come from Delhi. The travelling will be done by hiring an t. Laxi for the duration.

Can someone suggest a iternary for the trip.

We were thinking of

1. Delhi to Manmad by Train
2. Manmad to Shirdi
3. Shirdi to Ellora Caves
4. Ellora Caves to Pune
5. Pune to Lonavala
6. Lonavala to Mumbai
7 Local Mumbai trip
8. Return from Mumbai to Delhi.

Any particular reason for travelling to Manmad ?
Better travel to Nasik road (It is just next station from Manmad in same route) because you will get tourist taxi for more competitive rates & with more options at nashik than at manmad.
day 1:Local sightseeing at Nashik. Evening travel to Shirdi(100 kms/2 hrs)
day 2:Have Darshan & kakad aarati at early morning. Early Evening travel to Aurangabad(200 kms/5 hrs). Night halt at Aurangabad.
day 3:Visit to Ellora & Local sightseeing(100 kms/6 hrs). Early Eveing travel to Pune (250 kms/5 hrs). Night halt at Pune
day 4: Local sightseeing at Pune. Evening travel to Lonavala (70 kms/2 hrs)
day 5: Lonavala & Khandala Sightseeing
day 6: Morning travel to Mumbai (100 kms/2 & half hrs). Mumbai sightseeing
day 7: Mumbai Local sightseeing

I shall strongly suggest for not to miss Ajanta if you are visiting Aurangabad circuit. It's a one day trip out of Aurangabad or you can make a stay at Ajanta itself at MTDC resorts at Fardapur or Ajanta. Ajanta is about 100km from Aurangabad.

I agree & if you have to cut something to fit it in try saving Pune for another time..
