Pune... Koregaon Park
I am looking for accomodation for a month.. I realise Pune, can be a bit expensive, but as I want to stay for a month the prices I am being quoted are a bit more than I'd like... 2000Rp per night
Does anyone have any suggestions for homestay... apartments etc... ? many thanks ![]() |

I am sure you should find something down the road from German Bakery, Venus appartments and so on. There are boards with messages.

Boy, that is difficult indeed. There are thousands of people coming then to the "Ashram", just for a few days. Do we have contact to some Pune person here on the site? There was someone recently who posted on a similar topic, I think. But could not find the thread. I can ask a friend who lived in Pune a few years, if he has contacts who rent places... should be possible. At any rate, for Xmas you must book ahead for sure.

Ahh yes, people come each year and book ahead for next year. Makes it even more difficult, esp near Ashram. But there are lots of budget hotels in the center of town of "traditional" Pune. Is that an option for you?

Hello again...
I'm not sure if an option really, I'm doing a month long daily 'course' near the ashram, ...so if the trad. area of Pune is not far, then I guess it could be an option. I was hoping I'd stay somewhere with a more communal feel, like apartments with shared kitchen etc... especially over Xmas, and I'd like to meet people... we'll see ![]() |

If you are inthe Ashram around Xmas, e.g. eating there, it will be downright unpleasant because of the crowds. Also expect the prices to be higher than usual for services offered outside.

I am waiting for one more post by you, so that I can PM you with some info about whom to contact in Pune, who might be able to help you find an accomodation thru Xmas.

Hi Atala!
Here I am posting back... this is sooo funny, I had been getting stressed (in a minor way) about finding a room, and had literally 10 minutes decided to let it all go, and just see what happens... including letting go of going to Pune!!! ![]() |

Now you posted number 10, but still the PM option does not show in the menu, when I click on your nick... I think some miraculous intervention of our deuses ex machina is required
