Picnic Report :- Mumbai to Nagaon, Alibaug.
Hi,
Did a picnic to Nagaon last week of May with a group of 5 friends.
Started from Gateway of India, Mumbai by ferry for Alibaug. The ferry drop us at Madwa jetty and then took a free shuttle bus for Alibaug. At Alibaug, took a auto rikshaw to reach Nagaon.
Nagaon is called little Goa of Maharashtra. Total travel time 2.5 hrs.
Around Nagaon Kihim beach, Varsoli beach, Alibaug beach, Akshi beach, Nagaon beach, Revdanda beach, Korlai beach and Kashid beach within the 20 kms from Nagaon.
We visited Kolaba Fort (Alibaug Fort), Kankeshwar Temple and Birla mandir. We also enjoyed water sports near Nagaon beach.
Overall a very good experience.
