Need help in Shirdi-Nashik-Ajanta-Ellora trip...

Hi all,

I am planning a trip to cover shirdi,nashik,Ajanta and ellora starting on 1st Oct and returning on 4th Oct.I would be coming form Bangalore.

Here is my Iternary(not complete)

Bangalore->shirdi(1st oct)
Shirdi->nashik(2nd Oct)
Nashik->???

I am confused now that where should i go from Nashik,should i go to Aurangabad on 2nd evening or directly to ajanta....I need to cover both Ajanta and Ellora in 1.5 days(3rd and 4th) and catch the train back to bangalore on 4th afternoon..

Please suggest how can i cover both the destination in a cost effective manner.Also suggest some budget hotels to stay as well.

Hi,
I did this trip long back,
day 1 = boarded the karnataka express in the evening.
day 2 = Arrival at kopergoan in the afternoon and got taxi to shirdi, later visited the temple and stayed at shirdi,
day 3 = Left early morning to nasik in a tavera, visited triambakesvar temple and later travelled to aurangabad, reach around 9 pm.
day 4 = visited ajantha and ellore caves and halted at aurangabad,
day 5 = left to pune in the later morning via singapur and reached pune late night.
day 6 = boarded the udyan express at 11 am to reach bangalore the next day.
The whole was comfortable without much travelling.
I think this will give you a rough idea.

Just wanted to know that where you able to cover both Ajanta & Ellora in a single day.

Also could you provide some pointers ragarding the hotel in shirdi& aurangabad and also the cab service.

hi deepak,
No, we went to ellore caves on day 5 early morning and left to pune.
Maharasthra tourism hotel is good in shirdi and aurangabad you have plenty of hotel, just google. I will let you know the places where is stayed.
We booked tavera at shirdi opp to tourism hotel.
As this is a peak season please book well in advance.
