Need advice on Pune-Delhi-Pune trip in Dec 09

Hi friends

We (family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 children 9 & 14) are thinking of a trip from Pune to Delhi and back (including Jaipur and Agra) from Dec 25, 2009 to Jan 3, 2010.

I need your advice on the following:
1. Is this enough time to visit (7 days excluding the travel)?
2. Will this time be appropriate in terms of prices considering Dec 31st?
2. Places to visit - enroute & near around Delhi
3. Places to stay in the suggested places
4. Road conditions (I plan to take the NH8 route)
5. Climate (will it be too cold?)
6. Please suggest an iterinary.
7. Best time to visit Taj Mahal (I heard they allow a night visit too).

Ghodbunder bypass for mumbai to join NH8 from mumbai.

Mumbai Delhi is race track Detour from NH-8 to join NH-76 to do Udaipur -Jaipur(race track is 4 laned concrete) via chittaurgarh which joins NH-8 at kishangarh near Ajmer.


I think there is a route from Jaipur to Agra if you want to see Taj Mahal and skip delhi...u need to check on this one
