Matheran Toy Train services halted ???

I came to hear the the Neral-Matheran toy train services have been stopped for the monsoon and will commence again from October 2, 2007. Anybody please confirm.

I went on one of the last trips before the monsoon a couple of months back.

I think recently this line is facing a lot of trouble. It was closed for a long time and was opened recently.

echo same here. This was in press & in electronic media (read TV). They had been trying to strengthen the infrastructure (support beams & what not) without disturbing the ecosystem and ecology which exists there. It has been happening for few yrs. now what will happen or when those improvements will happen is anyone's guess.

I plan to visit Matheran Sept 27-29. Any update on expected railway status for those dates would be appreciated.
