March in Mahabaleshwar

Hello, I would like to go to a short trip with my girlfriend to Mahabaleshwar. I live in Kolhapur, Maharashtra so it is not that far away from here (around 180km).

Well, I don't know if I should make it a 2 days trip or a single day trip. I don't know if Hotel guys will allow me to stay with my girlfriend (as We are unmarried yet). Another question would be, how is climate in Mahabaleshwar in Last week of March?

1. Make it a 2 day trip so that you can enjoy more

2. Climate will hot when the sun is out but bearable. Pleasant in the early morning and evening.

Are unmarried couples allowed to stay in resorts or lodges in Mahabaleshwar? If yes then that would be icing on a cake

Act like a couple, usually they would ask for your photo ID, so carry it along.

Photo ID wont be issue. I always carry my PAN card, license, voring card with me. I wil hunt for good hotels in Mahabaleshwar now :-)

Try for MTDC. Great location. Though a bit outside of the main city, the serenity will be worth.

Anyways, I just want to confirm if unmarried couples are being accepted in hotels / lodges or not. I am not quite sure. There were no issues in Goa last time but I don't really know about Mahabaleshwar.

Tell them that you are married. Nobody is going to cross check it, thats none of their business.

Hello, I am going to Mahabaleshwar on 22nd. I don't know if I book hotels in advance or I will get a good one there..

As suggested in Post #6, you can go for MTDC, if available, through online.

if you want to play this game, you are better off playing it in MTDC or a fancy resort instead of a seedy motel...
MTDC certainly has rooms available online. check what suits your budget & have a nice time.

Well, I can spend around 2k/night.. But don't know with which room I should go with. Family Room has rent 2000/day, Economy Room has 1000/day and Standard Room has 1200/day..

I want a good Room, well maintained. Both should feel comfortable instead.

In Jan 2012, we stayed in Economy Rooms which were great - spacious, neat and clean.

Ask for a room near the reception area.

I have also seen some hotels on MakeMyTrip.com especially Krishna Continental. Rooms for Executive Couple costing around 1.8k/night which is bearable for me.

I will look for the both when I reach Mahabaleshwar.
