Mahabaleshwar in mid July

Is it a good idea? Planning to go there with my wife. I've heard that although it will be raining, the place will be very beautiful, and there will not be many people around. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Good idea if you dont get bad roads, you can spend max one week in Mid july, because its boaring after that. But scenic veiw will be amazing and you will enjoy the green Mahabaleshwer with foggy view. Its different but pleasure.

It would be a good idea to do a reseravtion in a hotel as most of them might be closed during the monsoon season. Mahabaleshwar is one the places in Maharashtra which gets the heaviest rainfall.

It would rain very heavily in july and all of the points are shut off for tourist. Sometimes there is zero visibility due to fog. Only the panchganga temple and venna lake is accessible. Leeches may problem so carry tobbacco or bit of salt to get rid of them.
Mahabaleshwar is really beautiful and romantic in july but u got to make decision to go or to not to go!

It is beautiful, you should go for it. Carry shorts, t-shirts and a windcheater as you can go on romantic walks

If you are ready to face lots of lots of rain. It's truly a different experience. If you would go to any sight seeing.. There are good chances of slippery unless you walk really carefully..
