[QUOTE=snonymous;1250252]Please tell your FIL to be very nice to Mr Limaye and allow us IndiaMikers free access to the park without having to go in groups!

, Mr.Limaye had already given consent for the meet which is scheduled to be held this coming Sunday, but now, he is somehow not reachable even after repeated calls!! If he attends, he will definitely be treated with utmost Love & care..., atleast for your sake!

Very true, its really embarrassing to be hauled up.

Hmmm, we can concentrate more on nature rather than on the cacophony of the group, if we are on our own.

Hopefully, I can manage Matheran trip once i am back from B'lore!! Now, I have so many places to visit...and would love to visit each & everyone!

Regards

Lets hope so.

True, there are so many places to visit but no time to do it all in one season.

Have a great time in Bangalore, enjoy that lovely weather and the yummy food, and coffee.

Hi Snonymous & Ronak,

Fresh updates about SGNP -
1. I am told by a Range Forest officer,SGNP, that permission is being given for walks into the Silondha trail for groups. Also, even individuals interested can obtain permission & more info from the NIC (Nature Interpretation Center) located near the Borivali entrance.
2. With regard to Highest Point [Yeoor] trail, i'm told, permission is not given.
3. Kanheri caves trek is being permitted of late for visitors and not morning walkers, I'm told.

I'll get more info from the NIC soon & will update you.

PS: I'll upload a few pics of NP taken today morning...just for you..as i have a feeling that you are missing SGNP.

Want to go to Lohagad Fort from Pune

Hi All,

I am looking forward to a half-day trip to Lohagad fort this weekend (tomorrow/day after tomorrow). I have my own vehicle and would like to drive upto the base from Pune.

Please can you let me know:

1) The driving direction which will be the most convenient and easiest with the KMs?

2) How long it may take with usual traffc?

3) How much time does it take to visit the fort overall?

Many thanks to all in advance.

Thanks snonymous. Both these posts are very informative. Vic's photos are superb. I was planning to go with my own vehicle but it seems to me a bit scary reading through skysurfer's experience. Let me see how I can manage but thanks once again.

I guess we have all the answers in Indiamike.

IM rocks!!!!
