Good snaps Sushant. Where did you stay in Kunkeshwar? Was it the Devasthan accomodation? You missed the Gajbadevi beach in Mithbao. There are so many beaches on those stretch visiting all of them might have been time consuming. Anyways you have visited some good beaches.

Thanks Aarosh!!
I stayed at "Bhakt Nivas". It is not well maintained. While I was on coastal highway, I could see many beaches on the way.. I tried to cover as much as possible.
Hopefully, in future I would visit some of the others

Nice pics Sushant-
So you made it alone eh? I would have had some second thoughts if I was in your place.
Glad to know you made the trip
Tell me more if we have a meetup soon.

Hmm.. Finally, I made it.. Although I was alone, it was great adventure and fun.. Even I had same thoughts at the start of the journey but as I moved on, my perception was changed completely. Credit goes to hospitality of Konkani people.
Sure I would share my experience when we meet in next meetup.

If you go to Murud. You can continue till Agardanda where you can take the ferry till Dighi. It's only for two wheelers. Then Veshvi(Near Bankot) till Bagmandala (Near Harihareshwar). Here you can take 4 wheelers as well. Next is at Dabhol jetty (four wheelers allowed).. Last is on the way to Jaigad at Tavsal or Kudli (only two wheelers)..
There after most of the places bridges are built to cross the creeks. At some places roadwork is not completed but one can cross the vehicle.

Mumbai-Harihareshwar-Srivardhan-Diveagar-Murud (Janjira fort)-Alibaug-Penn-Mumbai
Hi
I am planning a trip spanning "Mumbai-Harihareshwar-Srivardhan-Diveagar-Murud (Janjira fort)-Alibaug-Penn-Mumbai" (itinerary) in 3 days by taking the car. But Ferry options, wherever available, excite me.
Kindly correct me & add on this:
Ferry options are there on:
(1) Diveagar-Murud: how much time it takes & how to book?
(2) Alibaug-Mumbai
Please add if there is any other ferry link available on the above mentioned itinerary
Koschan 1: How much time it would take approx. from Diveagar to Murud by road, considering I have a car
Koschan 2: Am planning to cover Mumbai-Harihareshwar-Srivardhan-Diveagar on Day 1 & wake up on Day 2 morning at Diveagar (we're taking our car). Is it too aggressive? or looks fine. Comments/inputs please.
Thanks! Looking forward to your reply

There is a ferry service between Agardanda and Dighi on the way to Diveagar from Murud. But it is available only for 2 wheelers. Since you are going along with your car, you will have to take normal road route. I took ferry service so I dont have exact idea how much time it will take to travel from Murud to Diveagar via road. I guess, it will take around an hour.
Also, I dont know much about Alibag-Mumbai ferry service.
Q2 - You would be able to do Mumbai - Harihareshwar - Shrivardhan - Diveagar in a day but it will be a rushy affair. If you want to spend some time at these places, you could stay at Harihareshwar. 2nd day you can do Shrivardhan, Diveagar and on last day you can visit Murud/Janjira fort and proceed towards Mumbai.

I am first going to the stretch of Harihareshwar, Shrivardhan & Diveagar. Would end the Day 1 at Diveagar at a pre-booked hotel. Day 2: Diveagar to Murud. Now as i understand, I can take a ferry from Dighi to Agardanda. And from Agardanda, can proceed to Murud. <Please confirm this>
I am taking the taxi, hence can ask the driver to come to Agardanda by road (from Dighi)

Beaches are not something which I am going for (in an overdose of ample beach visits in a recent trip abroad). It's rather the temples, forts etc. Similar Threads
