Fun Things To Do In Ratnagiri

Hi all!
This is my first post.
and I wanted was planning a trip to ratnagiri, ganpati pule and other places around in the dist. I will be taking a train from mumbai. I was keen to know what are the fun things to do around these places apart from enjoying the beach. Any suggestions

Beaches of Harnai, Latghar, Guhagar
Ganpati Temple at Hedvi

well other fun things to be done in ratna giri are
1. go to gopalgad fort north of guhagar.... the sea vantage from there are wonderful..
go to bhatye beach just outside ratnagiri
go to pawas , walk beside gautami river... for some soul therapy
visit purnagarh ....its a well kept secret
try going to vijaydurg from musakazi.. south of purnagad... you have to reach jaitapur and then go further south and try find a ferry to vijaydurg...its adventurous ...i did it... slept in a betal(god of ghosts) temple ... oooooh lala
