We are planning to spend couple of weeks in Deolali (Maharashtra)

If sone has stayed there or is familiar with area, please advise

Thanks, I'd be interested in some info, what attractions are at Deolali? any accommodation? (Rs500 or less)

Is it true about the origin of the word Doolali(sp.)?

Thanks for any info.

Hi Steven,

Deolali is a located next to Nasik famous for its climate which is considered very good and is specially recommended by Doctors.

Deolali also has a lot of jain temples and hence become sort of pilgrimage centre. Further, there is Deolali camp. For attractions around, Nashik is a good place to be there.

Deolali being pilgrimage, there are lot of sanatoriums which are available at extremely low rates (Rs. 500-1000 per week).

Hotels may be few and reasonable.

regards,
