| Bhimashankar, Alandi, Pandharpur,Shirdi Hi, I will be in Mumbai from August 10th till 14th and August 19th till 27th. I would be interested in visiting the following places of religious interest and go over to interior Maharashtra ......Bhimashankar, Alandi, Pandharpur,Shirdhi. How can I arrange a convenient itinerary over let's say 2 or three days? Any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated. Layla |

| To do all the places in three days you will have to hire your own private vehicle. [it comes with the driver] Shirdi lies outside the "circuit" that you have mentioned. day 1. So do Mumbai to Shirdi on the first day [7 hours]. Overnight at Shirdi. Early morning darshan and hit the road by 8 am day 2. 8 am start. Shirdi to Sangamner - 1hr 15 min Sangamner to Manchar [75 km 1 hr 30 min] Manchar to Bhimashakar [75 km of mountainous twisty road-- 3 hrs] Overnight at Bhimashankar day 3. Start by 8:30. Descend from Bhimashankar to Khed. Its a different route than what you ascended. [100 km 3 hrs 30 min] Khed to Chakan to Pimpalgaon to Alandi [ 40 km 1 hr]. Visit temple. Alandi to Pandharpur via Pune. Take the outside ring road to avoid the dense city traffic. [200 km 4 hrs] Overnight at Pandharpur. day 4. Pune to Mumbai via Expressway [3 hrs] If you dont have 4 days, you will have to drop either Shirdi or Pandharpur, as they are at the extreme ends of your trip. Happy pilgrimaging ![]()

| All these places in 3 days is not possible. Pandharpur is the odd man out here...completely a different location...the rest of the places can be seen in 3 days |

| No i dont think that these places are possible in three days, not even in four days....take 1 day for each place and one day extra for traveling...... I think five days are good enough....make you base at Pune...ideally....give yourself one day for Bhimashankar and one day for Shirdi and ALandi....then proceed towards Pandharpur....give two days... Moreover get a bike or a private taxi for yourself.... MSRTC buses often take a lot of time....like the Bhimashankar stretch can be cover in three hours by bike but buses take 6 hours...and are tiring...

| Shirdi is arnd 200 -220 kms (one way)from mumbai or alandi via talegaon chakan would be achievable in 1 day...that too would be arnd 180- 200 kms(one way)..But you will have to leave mumbai before traffic holds u in the city...maybe by 6 oclock u should be on mumbai outskirts... |
