Bad experience at Melissa Place Kamshet

Reading all reviews ,I thought to spend a weekend at Kamshet at Melissa Place(www.pgashram.de) along with my family(Including my wife and two sons -age 5years and 9 months).I booked up thru the agency mentioned in the website after explicitly telling them about my family. They quoted me the rate which I agreed.

So I paid up an advance of Rs 1000..While in normal booking it is expected at least basic hygiene and housekeeping is to maintenance.

When we entered Melissa place we found

1. Used bed sheets and Broken Pillow in the room

2. Broken furntiture

3. Overall shabbily kept place.

In 10 min I told the keeper that I am not liking the place. She checked with Melissa and came back to me that I can leave (The owner did nt even thought to check with me what is issue I am facing). In the meanwhile I spoke to Travel Agent too and apprised her of my desicion and anwser received from Melissa.I was told that my advance will be returned.

While coming back , I check with Travel Agent about my advance to be returned. She was polite enough to talk .However dilly dallying over matter started happening. Finally I spoke to Melissa -She started giving me reasons that she started giving me reason which like she purchased grocerry for us , her room inventory remained idle etc. for frofeting my advance.
Well in similar way she spoilt my holiday with kids ,leaving us in middle of nothing .No body would like leave after driving 50 km if genuinely would not felt the place not good.
I am still happy I didnt stay in such place even at the cost forfeiture the advance.

Needless to stay over all Kamshet is very good place. However it doesnt have much options to stay . Nativeplace run by Sanjay & Astrid is very good place (though is slightly on higher side on tarriffs).

booking through agent I always don't like. I used to prefer take opinions of previous people.
Generally I take my family to places where myself has been visited.
So that It should not spoil things of whole
