Ashtavinayak Tour

I am planning to do a Ashtavinayak Tour in the mid December. We would be 3 people my wife, myself, my mother-in-law and my son who will be 18 months in December.

I will be starting from Navi Mumbai.

My question is

Should the tour be of 2D-1N or 3D-2N?
Should I hire a vehicle or go along with organized tours?
Is the climb at Lenyadri too difficult? (My mother-in-law is 60+)
If I hire a vehicle where should I halt overnight?

Thanks for the replies.

If you can get in touch with another member Mani Nair, I know he did this tour a couple of months ago by hired car from Dombivili, with several family members. He will be able to give you all the information.

We did the tour in 2 days covering all the Ashtavinayak Temples, but if you go for the 3 days tour you can visit Jejuri and Bhimashankar. I think you should go for the 3 days because it will be less hectic.

You can hire a vehicle or go with organized tours. Most of the organized tour are for three days i.e. Friday to Sunday.

Lenyadri climb is difficult for the 60+, but there are dolis available at the base (little bargaining will do).

If you hiring a vehicle - there are plenty of good hotels in Pune city for the overnight stay. Right now I do not have the address, I will give you if you need.

If you want any further help, please ask me.

Mani.
