Had a good "Tadoba" trip

A Unique Comparison
I would like to share a Unique comparison, it seems funny but really required some attention.
I love to ride my Car, which I bought just 6 months back and almost run 7000 KMs. Recently I traveled to Alibag, which is around < 100 KMs from Mumbai and I had passed 5 toll bouths and road condition is not that good even after paying for Toll. Last weekend, I went to Malshej (via SH 222) and I just need to pay a toll @ Mulund Checknaka (30 Rs) and road condition is quite good compare to road to Alibag/Kolad/Goa. Even in denst forest of BarviDam area also have good (best) road condition. I also went to Bhimashankar via Shortcut from Malshej and that is also a good road little narrow but in quite good condition. Regards Rushi |

Rushi
Please give detailed directions about this short cut to Bhimashankar from Malshej Ghat. Thanks. Was there much water in the waterfalls?

Nice photos.
What about the shortcut to Bhimashankar. Also, how do you go to the dense forest near Barvi dam? Thanks. |

There is a famous rout for Bhimashankar (Junnar - Narayangaon - Manchar - Bhimashankar)
But we went from alternative rout, actualy We were trying to go to Lenyadri Ganpati. After crossing Junnar (About 5 KMS) you will see a right turn for Vadaj/Chincholi. After crossing Vadaj dam a strait road is going to Dimbhe Dam. From Dimbhe dam you can join Manchar - Bhimashnakr State Highway. This will save around 40 KMs. For Barvi, we were not allowed to visit Dam site but we parked our vehicle in village (just after crossing zig-zag road) and spent 2 hours in denst forest near Barvi, we were able to see Dam from that forest .Regards Rushi |

Thanks for the info Rushi. I know the Junnar Ghodegaon Bhimashankar route. Would like to go again sometime.
Regarding Barvi, did you go there via Shilphata and then the pipeline road? Ive never been there, but Ive seen the dam in the distance from the east side of Panorama Point in Matheran. |
