Question Orchha - Khajuraho - Panna National Park

Folks,

We are group of 7, and visiting Orchha - Khajuraho - Panna National Park in first week of December 2010. Need couple of suggestions / opinions. Thanks in Advance!

ORCHHA:
1. Planning to make stay bookings at 'Hotel Sheesh Mahal' as it is in the Jehangir Palace itself. Do you guys suggest me any other option to look for like 'Betwa Cottage Resort', etc? Our budget is Rs. 1600 to 1900 for a room (per night).

2. Which is the decent priced restaurant in Orchha. We can have Indian, Continental or Italian food. Our budget is Rs. 100 for a meal (per head).

KHAJURAHO:
3. Planning to make stay bookings at 'Hotel Payal'. Any other suggestions? Our budget here is Rs. 1000 to 1200 for a room (per night).

4. Which is the decent priced restaurant in Khajuraho. We can have Indian, Continental or Italian food. Our budget is Rs. 100 for a meal (per head).

PANNA NATIONAL PARK:
5. I haven't seen anybody posted reviews about 'Madla Jungle Camp' anywhere on the web. We are planning to stay there. Any other suggestions? Our budget here is Rs. 1800 - 2000 for a room (per night).

6. We know there are no more Tigers in Panna, so suggest the places we can go. Some of those which we are planning are (a) Ken Ghariyal Sanctuary (b) Pandava Falls & (c) Raneh Falls. Any of these not worth going? Any other places to get on must-go list?

Cheers,
Mayank

Sheesh Mahal is better located that Betwa Cottage according to me. If you are going to Orchha, I presume you are doing so out of the attraction for its history and what better to live right at the middle of that. If you have time you may visit Jhansi, Datia and Sonagiri.
Hptel Payal is again a good option. Stayed there many years back. The falls are good. Did not see anything worth mentioning in Panna :-( but then again it was many years back and it can be so with forests.
Thanks,
Deep

Hi,
sheeshmahal is a bitter bet than any other hotels in orchha, it is right inside the fort and they have 3 types of rooms maharaja, maharani suit and regular but the regular one in the first floor facing the maharaja suit is really worth and they charge you around 1790/= per room and it will be amazing in the night,
payal at khajuroa is also a decent one close to taj and redission,
