How to get to the Tigawa temple near Jabalpur?
Namaste,
in autumn I want to visit some parts of MP, where I haven't been before. I read about the old Gupta Style temple (sometimes called Kankali Devi Temple or Vishnu Temple) built 415 AD in Tigawa (also written "Tigwa") in Katni district not far away from Jabalpur. My problem: I do not find the location of Tigawa, neither in Google World nor in my Nelles maps nor anywhere in the www.
Can anyone help me?
A description or better the GPS coordinates?
Thanx in advance.

dhobi wallah, Welcome to Indiamike.
You can approach it either from Jabaplur or from Katni. It's almost 70 Kms from both places.
The route from Jabaplpur is Jabalpur - Sihora - Bahoriband - Tigwa
Bahoriband itself has many ancient temples and statutes but now a days it is a centre of marble trade and Tigwa is 3-4 KMs. from here.

Hi delhiwala,
many thanks for your prompt reply and the advise to visit Bahoriband and its ancient sites, too. With your help I found the location of Tigwa Temple in Google Map, too. Its coordinates are 23°41'24"N 80°4'0"E, if someone wants to met me there in December
