| Bandhavgarh to Khajuraho Can anyone give me any advice on travel from Bandhavgarh to Khajuraho. I've read that jeeps are available from Tala to Satna, do they go as required or at a fixed time? From Satna are there regular buses? Any info or advice would be appreciated. |

| Beware these are some of the worst roadfs in India!! So if you take the bus or taxi bring a cushion!! There is a train alternative from Katni to Mohaba. Unfortunately it pulls in at 01.16 in the morning which isn't ideal and your still an hour or two short of Khajuraho, it is an option though the hotels at Khajuraho will have someone on duty!! !! I would at least take the train to Satna then the bus or Taxi 2189 MAHAKAUSHAL EXP *KATNI 19:25 MAHOBA 01:16 1071 KAMAYANI EXPRES *KATNI 10:10 SATNA 11:45 If you've time you could take the easy route, bypassing Khajuraho in the first instance to Jhansi/Orccha then backtrack to Khajuraho on a much better road! Four hours by bus from Jhansi!! |

| Thanks for the reply, there are quite a few trains from Katni! I've now got more questions, sorry!! How long does it take to get to Katni? How expensive would a taxi from Satni to Khajuraho be? Thanks |
