Arriving in Mandu from Khandwa
Hi,
Starting from Khandwa by train, I want to know what is the most reliable solution between...
1) I'll arrive in Mhow at 4:20 pm, wait may-be half an hour for a bus (somebody has schedule ?) and arrive in Mandu around 8 pm. Late.
2) I'll stop in Sanawad at 1:42 pm, or in Barwaha at 2:02 and try to find a bus (may-be two buses with a connection somewhere) or a taxi.
I sent a mail to mptourism a week ago but... no answer.
Thank you

Hi!
An easier way to reach Mandu would be to take the train all the way to Indore. From Indore the buses run via Dhar (you need to change bus at Dhar).
However there should be some local bus running between Mhow and Mandu. I do believe that there is an officer's training school in Mhow and that it should be a lovely small town!
If you are adventurous enough to take this option, then you will have about 2 hours to find out. And if there isn't a suitable connection, then hop on to the other train leaving Mhow at 1945 to arrive Indore at 2048 hours.

Hi mountaingirl !
Thank you for your help.
I will start from Jalgaon at 6:02 am, arrive in Khandwa 9:45 am. The next train for Indore start 12:35 am and arrive at 5:45 pm in Indore.
Then no direct bus to Mandu at this hour. The choice is
1) Find one to Dhar then, if I am lucky, find another one to Mandu. Arrive around 9 pm ! Late an tired.
2) Taxi ? Arrive around 8 pm. Late and tired too.
The question is : are Barhava (to Mandu = 60 miles (96 km ?)) or Sanawa (70 mile, 112 km ?) big enough (around 30.000 inhabitants ?) to find easily buses or taxi to go to Mandu via Mandleshwa or Dharampuri.
With luck I will arrive aroud 5 or 6 pm !
