Maybe not delhiwala but it would still be useful to have current local information on, for example, whether there are often roadblocks or other disruption causing delay for travellers.

Hi,

I heard from a friend of mine who is from Bhopal, that Patalkot has another different tribes - the dwarfs. These guys cheat you into the jungle and then kill or rob you. Is this true?

I wonder how you don't know it, I have heard this a couple of times from my friend and also from a close relative who lives in Jabalpur, MP.

Well it may well be true, things change yeah. A couple, friends of a friend who have lived in a bungalow at Meher Baba's ashram in Ahmednagar for many years, were broken into, beaten around the head with iron rods and the man is still in a coma, the lady lucky to live - so tribes & gangs do migrate. So there may well be Dwarf robbers operating, sadly as it is such a very pleasant area around Patalkot....

Actually Paleface,

Its not about migrating vagabonds or dwarf robbers or cons. It is about people who have been living there for centuries, my friend had visited the place and told me that they look really wierd and talk in Hindi. Their physical appearance is due to some genetic disorder running in their lineage. They know each and everything about the jungle where they live, hence they con you into the jungle and even kill you coz they are cannibals.

If anyone else on this forum has such information please share.

I have heard this from a few other people also.

The long and short of it is it took ages to overcome that conditioning of the world of competition where one feels obligated to be do something commercial, earning, building empires, name and fame and so on - Now planning to set up on our land some greenhouses to grow vegetables year round and hopefully ignite by example an agricultural revolution hereabouts, where farming is subsistence and profits for locals are very hard to grind out. Organising a few Health & dental camps by way of kicking off some seva oriented karma yog - the Yog of Vasistha is for example, a guiding text. Tell me your not an IT guy?

I have also read about these dwarf tribes in newspaper and in Mahasweta Devi's(a writer in Bengali , who writes mainly on Tribes)
book.

She wrote Due to malnutrition and for eating some poisonous
barks of trees some tribes here got genetic problem
of dwarfism. They remain hungry for salts always and sometimes steal black salts from salt leaks(?). People of their locality think they are cursed so they have driven them out and they live in jungle, naked , and rob and kill others if get chance.

In a newspaper i once read about cannibalism of some dwarf tribes in and around Mp/Chattisgarh area.
