Omkareshwar To Khandwa Jn.
Hi,
I want to visit Jabalpur from Omkareshwar. I want to catch a train from Khandwa Jn around 10.15 (Train No. 1093 :: Mahanagari Exp). So, I have to reach Khandwa Jn from Omkareshwar. I want to know about the availability of Bus between the two places. Any kind of suggestion related to this or any other way, will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Regards Sourav Das |

Last February we visited Omkareshwar en route from Khandwa to Mandu with a hired car. I don't know anything about bus connections and can only tell that it something more than an hour with a car.

We stayed a few days in Khandwa and hired a car for two days. The first day we made a round trip to Bhuranpur and the next day the drop to Mandu.
For both days together we payed 3300 rs. |

By bus you would have to go to Barwah and then change for a bus to Khandwa.
I'm trying to remember how long the bus between Barwah and Khandwa takes ... I've just noticed that the train you are going for is at 10.15. But the buses from Omkar surely wouldn't take more than 3 hours, even including waiting time, so you should be able to make it if you don't mind an early start. I think the best bet - if you don't get reliable timings here on indiamike - is to ask when you are in Omkar, but I would feel fairly confident that it is doable. There are often buses very early in the morning. And if you didn't feel confident about an early bus from Omkareshwar, and if a taxi all the way to Khandwa was too expensive, then you could maybe get a taxi to Barwah and bus from there. PS - the bus station in Khandwa is very near the train station, so don't worry about that! PPS - vonkla, I like your new avatar! How did your trip go and what did you think of Burhanpur? (and Khandwa) |

I guess it will be between 800 and 1000 rs. You are aware that you also have to pay for the return journey? For more information about these region see my travel journal. From Kochi to Delhi |
