Need a Khajuraho trip plan

Hi,

I want to travel khajuraha from Gwalior and then back to Howrah from khajuraha.

Can any one please give me two day travel plan for khajuraho with budget, hotels and car cost for sight visits.

1. Brief Details
2. Is there direct train from Gwalior to khajuraho? or via satna
3. want to stay there for 2 full days
4. want to visit pandab and raneh falls
5. want to see some important temples
6. my hotel budget is 1000 - 1200
7. what is the car cost for ambassador per km

You can spend 2 days in Khajuraho alone...there are many many temples. The MPT hotels (Payal or Jankar) are both nice and cost 600-1200 day non a/c vs a/c. Payal is quieter...I've stayed in both. Not sure about cost of car but a 4.5 hour drive from Khajuraho to Jhansi cost me 2200 rupee one way. Western temples are the most important.

Visit the old village and ask for Mohan Singh...he will give you a nice motorbike tour of Datla and Lavania (nice mountains near the village with beautiful farms)....ask him to show you the gorgeous water well on his farm built by a crazy guy from San Diego named Mark.....aka Mordeep.
