My Mandu trip
Mandu Trip report I was thinking of visiting Mandu since a long time .This dream came true when in Januray this year .We reach indore from Chennai.Sorry this trip reports came after few months. It was a bit cold in the 5 AM morning when we reach Indore railway station. We took a auto riksha for 20 rs to one of the bus staion of Indore to catch a bus to Dhar. The bus stand is close to the Railway staion. This was one of worst bus stand I ever saw in india. Bad smell of Urinal every where. Soon we found a bus to Dhar.No luxury there it was old Metador style bus. My self , wife and our 2 year old son was the only tourist there. After some time we reach Dhar. Dhar a typical Madhya Pradesh town.We got a another bus to mandu from there. The road to Dhar to Mandu is in quite good condition and not the Kind of generally we think about MP roads.Again the bus was full of local passengers. The journey from Dhar to Mandu was good. The bus dropped at the bus staion of small mandu Village . Soon we found a maruti800 as a taxi which took 30 rs for our destination Hotel roopmati. We check the room and at Rs 700 Per day it was worth. Hotel Roopmati is nice value hotel with large gardens ,Open air restaurant. Mandu is quite a small Place. Relax point is the only big shop there where you can find all the thing as cameral roll/Travel books/Samosa & chai. Here are some of the photographs of the trip. detail trip report in my next post.
