Information required on Kanha

I am planning to make a trip to Kanha in coming Winter (December) with my wife. Can anyone provide me the information regarding the cost of Per Trip Jeep Safari in the park, Per Head Entry Fees and Guide Cost there .. Can i find a room with in Rs 500 To 700 Per Day at Kanha ?

Fees per safari for indian people are : 500 Rs for the entry by jeep (1 to 6 persons or sometime more people), 150 Rs for a guide, 30 Rs for the booking, between 1000 to 1300 Rs to rent the jeep with a driver.
You will find several small lodges but I don't know the price, where I stay it's around 2700 Rs with taxes and without food.

Here are the rates I paid in April 2009 at Kanha (Kisli gate)
Each Safari costs Rs. 1730 – Rs 500 for permit, Rs 30 booking charges, Rs 150 for guide, Rs 1050 for jeep.
Six persons in a jeep – so wherever possible, people share.

As you have recently visited the place, can u give me some info on staying options there

can iget a double bed room there with INR 500-600 ?

Sorry Arupratan, I cannot help you much on this. I stayed at Baghira Log Huts managed by MPT at Kisli. As this was within the forest area, I did not have much scope to explore the other hotels which were outside the forest area. There is another entrance to Kanha at Mukki and hotels might be there.

Also, when I went in April, MPT was giving a 50% discount on bookings made from Kolkata. You might ring MPT Kolkata office and explore if such discounts are still available.
