Chhatisgarh in August

I'm planning to visit Chhatisgarh in mid-august. I assume it'll be raining then. How is it during the monsoons?

The plan is to spend 3 days in the Jagdalpur area. And then 3 days at Raipur. What are the places one can see near Raipur?

Thanks

Jagdalpur is the place to visit in Monsoon. Indravati river will be flowing with full might......and Chitrakot/Tiratgarh Fall will give you a feeling of Indian Niagra fall . Ghumar is another water fall where water drops froma height of 100 feet.

Danteshwari Temple and Twin Ganesha Temple are famous temples.

Near Tiratgarh falls are Kutumsar Stalagmite caves....

Raipur has nothing for tourism, Rajim & Sirpur are two nearby cities which have ancient temples. You can do a small trek to Dongargarh Temple.

One interesting place near Raipur (not so near) is Bhoramdeo in Kawardha district.....Here temple has Khajuraho like Erotic Sclutures..............

Thanks delhiwala!

Will 3 days be enough to see all the places you mentioned near Jagdalpur? I also want to see a bit more of the Bastar area, and also the Kanger Valley National Park. How far is Ghumar Falls from Jagdalpur?

I've been told that the best way to interact with the Bastar Tribals is to see one of the haats where they sell and buy stuff. Is this true?
