Anything interesting in or around Indore?
I'm going to be visiting Indore next week for my best friend's wedding and after the wedding, I will have to cut a day or two by myself till my other mates arrive there. I'm wondering if there are any interesting places to visit in and around Indore.
Any suggestions about how to make the most of the little time I have?

There are two waterfalls near Indore, Tichha & PatalPani
You may go to Mandu, it has beautiful palaces. But it's more beautiful in Monsoon and summers are harsh in MP. If spiritually inclined, you may visit Omkareshwar, which is 90 KMs from Indore. It's one of the 12 Jyotirlingas....

Hi,
Day One : If you are coming from Delhi and by train, you can drop in Ujjain - the city of Mahakal, in the morning, just 50 km before Indore. After Darshan take food at Free Ganj square and Reach Indore and visit Lal Bag Palace till 6 PM in the evening, enjoy various delicious food at Sarafa in night, near Rajwara. Day Two : Plan an early morning visit to Omkareshwar (50 km), another Jyotirlinga. After that can go further to Maheshwar (on the banks of river Narmada), you will like the Ghats and Fort there with a stay in MP Tourism Cottage (Narmada Retreat). (be prepared for 43-44* temperature.) Day Three : If you choose to stay in Maheshwar, leave for Indore early in the morning. Delhiwala - There are almost 20 - 25 waterfalls around Indore, but you get wet water only in and after the Monsoon. So not possible in this hot summer. Mandu - the city of Joy is burning in 43-44 degree temperature, so again avoid. Happy outdoor, |

Yes, There is absolutely no water in almost all the falls except one or two. All of them get dried till Jan - Feb. Anyway, this is pleasant that you know about the falls around Indore.
Happy outdoor. |
