Present condition of road between Varanasi and Orchha via Khajuraho

Hi,

Can anybody tell me the present condition of the road between Allahabad and Orchha via Khajuraho.

How safe will be to reach khajuraho via chitrakut ?

Is the condition of NH-7 good to maintain an avg speed of 50-60 km?

As per the the Indian sytandard neither good nor bad.

i went Khajuraho & Orchha in feb,08 on my bike from Delhi.

Roads from Orchha to Chhatarpur were in very bad shape at some stretches, though repair work was going on, roads were being widend.i was not able to cross even 30kmph at these places, whereas sometimes i was even cruising at 100kmph.

from Chhatarpur i found the road was better.

i went to khajuraho from satna. the road was bad. i returned from khajuraho to jhansi. that road wasnt much better either.
