Khajuraho Local Tours

Hi All

I'm planning to go to India in November with a friend and am travelling by ourselves. I was wondering if anyone knows of any local tour groups which starts from Delhi, Agra or Varanasi that goes to Khajuraho? For maybe a 2 day trip. Can anyone recommend any good tour guides/groups and how much I would be looking at?

Or would it be easiest to travel by ourselves to Jhansi and then hire a cab? Can anyone recommend a good one that they have used?

We travel independently and have booked hotels, car and driver [no guide, thank you very much] and internal flights through them.

We have been very satisfied with the attention to personal detail Swagatam have given us. They answer e-mails promptly and work with our ideas and plans to come up with a great trip each time. We have worked primarily with their office in Delhi, but have also had contact with the Mumbai and Chennai branch.

On our first trip we visited [among other places] the cities you mention. You really don't need a guide and should do well with a car and driver [and train]

I suspect if you e-mail Swagatam and tell them what you are interested in, they could suggest a solution or two.
