Khajuraho Hotels

Are there any cheap hotels in Khajuraho that can be booked online? Or is it OK to just show up and find one? I read the Yogi Hotel/Lodge is nice, clean and cheap, but I cannot for the life of me find any email addresses or websites.

Thanks.

Yogi Lodge is a clean, hygienic, non-fancy place. Room rent varies from 150 to 350 depending on the tourist rush. They also have an ashram about 2-3 KMs from Western group, rooms there are bigger and nicer but you must have your own conveyeance, there is no public transport available from ashram to town.
You may also try Casa di William, it is also a good,non-expensive place to stay, rent varies from 250-400.

When are you planning your trip? There is an annual dance festival that happens Feb-March, so if you are planning on being there around that time, arriving unannounced wouldn't be such a good idea.

You could try Hotel Siddarth (stayed there last month)- right opposite the western group of temples and next to Raja's Cafe. Prices are reasonable Rs. 390 for a fairly spaciaous and clean non A/C double room. There are A/C rooms available as well on the first floor and give you a good view of the temples.

I personnaly wouldn't recommend staying in Casa di william. Had checked in there for a night and could'nt wait to get out of there. Boxy, overpriced rooms with no view.

Hope your booking is not for Casa di Nightmare. Hotel Siddharth is a bit slow in room service, but nice polite helpful people with a nice view of the Western temples from the terrace. Try out Raja's Cafe next door for decent grub. It is also the place where a lot of the guides conglomerate. The more expensive hotels won't give you a good view of the temples
